Importance of Logframe in Project Proposals

The Logical Framework (LogFrame) or the LFA is a methodology elaborated in the 70s to strengthen a project internal logic and also to consistently explain how the project will accomplish its set goals. The LogFrame takes the form of a 4×4 table as listed below. In the first column you will find a breakdown of the 4 main points structuring your proposal; goals, purpose, outputs, and activities. These 4 points must be logically interconnected. Accordingly, ask yourself whether the implementation of activities will produce stated outputs. Whether the production of stated outputs will enable the project to fulfil its purpose. Whether the fulfilment of a set purpose will allow the project to achieve its main goals. And whether the achievement of stated goals will contribute to reach the wider aims of the project.

By following the table below and answering the questions asked in columns 2, 3 and 4, you will be able to successfully improve the consistency of your project proposal.
